Eager to work with high quality, fully fresh ingredients to create fantastic Eastern Mediterranean dishes? Want to work in a busy kitchen with a great team, in a business that genuinely focuses on your training, development & progression? You’ve found it!
Here at Megan’s we are keen to find Commis Chefs who want to learn how to make everything themselves. We don’t care what style of cuisine you’ve worked with or how much was delivered pre‑made, as long as you’re passionate about learning to be a Chef who makes dishes from scratch! We’re opening new restaurants in fantastic neighbourhoods across the South, so due to our continued growth and expansion we’re now looking for a Commis Chef for our beautiful site.
What’s in it for you?
- Pay £13.50 per hour (including a base Tronc allocation*), with the opportunity to earn additional uncapped variable Tronc.
- Benefits: 50% off when visiting with your friends and family, amazing team socials, long service awards, access to our comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme including a free, confidential helpline/webchat available all day, every day of the year, early access to your pay if required through Stream, all the good stuff you’d expect like auto‑enrolment in our pension scheme and free food & drinks on shifts.
- Career progression: ongoing professional training & development, with real career progression, freedom to get involved with new openings, opportunity to move between sites and grow with the group.
As a Commis Chef here you’ll be an essential part of the kitchen team. That means you’ll be involved with mise en place (prep) and learning to cook and work across all sections. We’re also keen that you have high standards of food hygiene and enjoy learning new things. We think attitude is more important than experience so no matter what kind of kitchen you’ve worked in, as long as you’re a CDP, Line Chef, Commis Chef, Prep Chef or Cook who wants to create delicious dishes then we want to hear from you!
