About the Team

The medical department is made up of 27 full-time colleagues who are committed to Chelsea Football Club. We have our Medical Director, who is supported by 5 doctors, 13 Physiotherapists, 4 massage therapists and medical support staff who look after the first team, under 23s, under 18s, along with the Academy’s under 16s and under 9s, as well as Chelsea Women and the Regional talent squads. The key components that we have tried to base our departmental philosophy on are a focus on achieving good results, respect for each other, good communication and developing a genuine multi-disciplinary team.

What We’re Looking For

A candidate to deliver physiotherapy service to Chelsea Academy, Chelsea WSLA, the RTC Teams and the Foundation. The position will predominantly involve providing pitch side cover for evening and weekend activities, with some daytime school holiday activities throughout the year. There may also be opportunities to cover evening clinics, national and international tournaments.

Must Haves

  • Qualified by demonstrable experience to the level required
  • Health and Care Professional registered.
  • A member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
  • Have a full drivers licence, and access to a vehicle.
  • Hold an FA Intermediate Trauma and Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF) Certificate OR FA Advanced Trauma and Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF) Certificate.
  • Have 3 or more years post-graduate experience.

Nice to Haves

  • Be motivated and have a dynamic approach to their work.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Be comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Be comfortable working evenings, weekends and variable hours on a weekly basis.
