Innovation lead (Strategy)

Job Title: Innovation Lead

As an Innovation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the implementation and uptake of innovation across the local healthcare landscape. You will lead on delivering mission-critical and non-mission-related programs and projects to improve patient care. You will contribute to different stages of a mission life cycle, from selecting new mission priorities to evaluating existing missions and ensuring any innovations scaled are sustainably handed over to the relevant teams in the health system.

We welcome applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds and a range of skills and experiences. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong strategy and analytical skillsets. Backgrounds in consulting, especially strategy consulting and/or engineering, are welcome. All applications will be reviewed thoroughly.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Programme leadership: Lead and oversee the execution of a programme of work including several matrix projects, ensuring projects are scoped, planned, and delivered to a high standard of quality to deliver impact for our core population.
2. Innovation implementation: Lead on implementing and scaling evidence-based innovations within the local health system.
3. Stakeholder relationships: Build strong relationships at senior levels across the NHS, academia, and innovation organizations.
4. Portfolio management: Ensure the timely delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timelines, applying relevant and adaptable project management practices.
5. Subject matter expertise on strategy and insights: Act as a senior advisor on strategic capabilities, shaping organizational approaches and methodologies in areas like problem definition, horizon scanning, research, and evidence synthesis or evaluation.
6. Corporate leadership: Help shape the direction and culture of ICHP by being an active member of our leadership team, role-modeling our values, and actively participating in organizational improvement initiatives.
