Sexual Health Hounslow is looking to recruit a health care assistant to join the team and service. This role is a rare opportunity to develop skills in both sexual health and HIV. The main aspects of the role include clinical duties including direct patient care under supervision, assisting the Multi professional team in the delivery of a high standard of care to patients attending for Sexual, Reproductive health and HIV care. Other aspects include housekeeping and administration duties and overseeing the maintenance of a safe environment for both patients and staff.
We are looking for individuals who are motivated, enthusiastic and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work with a team in an innovative sexual health setting. In return, you will join a team of friendly skilled experienced doctors, sexual health / HIV nurses, health advisers and admin staff responsible for delivering a high standard of care to patients. We have a full in-house and Multidisciplinary Education programme.
The post holders will be expected to work flexibly within the clinic and at outreach settings in the local community when applicable. A Health Care Assistant (HCA) is a member of the health care team who works under the supervision of a registered health or social care professional. A HCA can undertake a range of roles within their overall job and their level of responsibility will be appropriate/commensurate to the level of knowledge and skills they have acquired.
To participate, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/ Midwife, in the delivery of patient care to a defined client group, in accordance with the philosophy of care which enables clients to maintain their skills and maximize the potential to achieve independence. Work as part of an effective and caring team. The post holder works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse/ Midwife. They will work within the boundaries of their existing and developing skills at all times. The post holder is expected to maintain high standards of care, managing their time, tasks and resources effectively.
