The thriving team of Business and Professional Studies are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Deputy Head of Department. As Deputy Head of Department, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our learners through:

  • Supporting the Head of Department in all aspects of the department’s leadership and management, particularly around attendance, quality, teaching, learning and assessment and securing outstanding outcomes for all learners.
  • Performance manage staff within the department and ensure that they develop their professional practice.
  • Lead on curriculum development, including the development and validation of new programmes and the periodic review and re-validation of existing programmes.
  • Ensure that learner retention, achievement, success and progression rates within the department exceed the national average year-on-year.

Our ideal candidate will have evidence of high performance in previous roles/jobs and relevant work experience in the sector to underpin subject leadership with credibility and authority.
