Chelmsford College is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer to join our growing Sport Department, delivering teaching and learning across Level 1 to Level 3 programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and enthusiastic team at a college that is ambitious for its learners and proud of its strong industry partnerships.
About The Role
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality provision to support the Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation elements of the programme, including Sports Massage and Strength & Conditioning, across a range of learner cohorts and delivery environments. Teaching will take place in classrooms, practical sports and fitness facilities, and industry-linked settings, supporting learners to develop both academic understanding and authentic vocational skills. You will be part of a department that is actively broadening its curriculum offer and strengthening its employability focus, supported by our CIMSPA FE Partnership. We are particularly keen to recruit staff who bring strong industry experience and can help further embed current professional practice into teaching, assessment and curriculum design.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching in Sport Therapy, Rehabilitation, Sports Massage and Strength & Conditioning
- Teach across a range of levels from Level 1 to Level 3, adapting approaches to meet diverse learner needs
- Support curriculum development that strengthens progression routes and employability outcomes
- Embed industry standards, professional behaviours and current practice into learning
- Work closely with colleagues to contribute to an ambitious, cohesive and learner-centred department
- Support learners’ personal development, confidence and readiness for employment or further study

- Relevant industry experience and a strong commitment to maintaining professional practice
