We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and forward thinking Head of Department Health, Care, Science & Sports. We seek a dynamic leader passionate about delivering outstanding learning experiences, driving innovation, and ensuring every learner achieves their full potential in line with the College's Strategic Plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across all curriculum areas.
  • Develop and implement effective departmental strategies that enhance quality, improve outcomes, and support continuous improvement.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and staffing to ensure efficient and high performing provision.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employers, partners, and awarding bodies.
  • Lead the growth of apprenticeship and adult learning programmes by identifying new opportunities, strengthening engagement, and enhancing programme quality.
  • Analyse performance data, develop meaningful metrics, and report progress to senior leadership to inform decision making and future planning.
  • Drive innovation in curriculum design, digital learning, and industry aligned skills development.
