Dovedale@Moulsham is a breakfast and afterschool club linked to Dovedale Nursery which is run by Chelmsford College. We are looking for some dynamic and energetic people to join our expanding team at the Moulsham Infants School site on a casual basis. Qualifications are not required; experience is preferred but there are lots of opportunities to learn on the job from a very experienced team of childcare professionals.
We are looking for someone with a passion for shaping the lives of young people. At Dovedale@Moulsham, we understand the unique opportunity we have to develop children's learning outside a classroom environment, giving them tools to manage social situations, learn about world topics such as discrimination, sustainability and being true to yourself in an age-appropriate way.
What the job entails:
- Care for children aged 4 years to 11 years from Moulsham Infants and Moulsham Junior School term time only.
- Daily tasks include taking the children to and from school, planning exciting activities, supervising and playing with children in the playground, preparing and serving meals, administering first aid (training given upon appointment), clean as you go responsibilities and observing safeguarding procedures.
- Opportunity to learn about and work with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Qualities:
- Flexibility to take on several roles and work well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to get stuck in.
- Professional, friendly, reflective and hard working.

Hours: (Monday to Friday term time only) Morning shift: 7am – 9am & Afternoon shift: 2.45pm- 6.30pm. There is some room for flexibility which we are happy to discuss at interview such as job share, part time, alternate shifts, and shift times to work around school/college hours.
