Dovedale@Moulsham is a breakfast and afterschool club linked to Dovedale Nursery, which is run by Chelmsford College. We are looking for dynamic and energetic people to join our expanding team at the Moulsham Infants School site on a casual basis. Qualifications are not required; experience preferred, but there are many opportunities to learn on the job from a very experienced team of childcare professionals. We are looking for someone with a passion for shaping the lives of young people.
Responsibilities
- Care for children aged 4 to 11 from Moulsham Infants and Moulsham Junior School during term time only.
- Take children to and from school.
- Plan exciting activities, supervise and play with children in the playground.
- Prepare and serve meals.
- Administer first aid (training given upon appointment).
- Keep up an acceptable level of clean and hygiene in the environment.
- Observe safeguarding procedures.
- Opportunity to learn about and work with children with special educational needs (SEN).
Qualities
- Flexibility to take on several roles and work well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Enthusiastic and willing to get stuck in.
- Professional, friendly, reflective and hard working.

Hours
- Monday to Friday term time only.
- Morning shift: 7am – 9am & Afternoon shift: 2:45pm – 6:30pm.
- There is some room for flexibility which we are happy to discuss at interview, such as job share, part time, alternate shifts, and shift times to work around school/college hours.
