South Woodham Ferrers Leisure Centre is one of Chelmsford City Council’s four leisure facilities, offering a variety of sporting activities where there is something for everyone. Every member of staff plays their role, working within a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a friendly and approachable person to join our management team, who can work well under pressure, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to lead and motivate a team, focused on high customer service standards.
The successful applicant will be fully accountable for the Pool facility overseeing all aspects of the budget, staffing, programming, procedures and health and safety. The successful applicant will have a comprehensive employment history of working within a leisure facility and have previous experience of managing staff.
The successful applicant will also be required to act as a Duty Manager, on a shift basis, to take responsibility for the day to day operation of the centre, ensuring the centre is well maintained, clean, safe and compliant with brand standards at all times, supporting every department, ensuring adequate staff coverage.
This position is offered on a full-time basis, working on a shift basis to cover the opening hours of the centre, from 6.00am to 10.30pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
