We're now on the hunt for an experienced Account Director to join our UK team to continue to grow our local presence with existing and prospective clients across the UK and Europe. We're passionate, creative, thoughtful, fuelled by teamwork, and above all, committed to our purpose: making brand mean business.
The main focus of this role will be on one of our flagship global clients, a leading global marketing technology platform. As part of our creative agency team, you'll manage a fast-paced, strategically complex account that spans brand, content, and digital execution across the EMEA region. Based in the UK, you'll be the key day-to-day contact for the client, working closely with their internal marketing, events, product, and partnerships teams, collaborating with a UK-based designer and freelancers, and coordinating with our broader creative, strategy, and production team in Sydney.
Confidence in managing time zones, leading remote communication, and keeping projects running smoothly across continents is essential. The role involves working autonomously, with clear communication with global stakeholders across time zones. In addition to this, the role is responsible for working with our agency partners and prospective clients to grow our footprint in the UK.
Core duties include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as the senior point of contact for key client relationships and representing Chello in market.
- Overseeing account processes to ensure work is strategically led, commercially sound, and delivered within agreed retainers, margins, timelines, and budgets.
- Managing project workflows including proposals, quoting, briefings, kick-offs, and delivery.
- Client stakeholder management: monitoring progress, resolving issues proactively, and ensuring work meets our creative, strategic, and quality standards.
- Collaborating with strategy, creative, and production teams to scope and quote effectively, ensuring outcomes are aligned with client objectives.
- Presenting confidently to clients, contributing to strategic and creative discussions, and maintaining engagement at all levels.
- Tracking revenue, reporting against targets, and identifying opportunities for account growth.
- Supporting the development of tools and processes to improve collaboration and delivery.
- Managing key accounts across brand, content, and digital projects, coordinating with both UK-based and Sydney-based teams across time zones.
- Contributing to new business development, pitches, and relationship-building to support our growing UK presence.
- Supporting with ideas and ways to activate Chello locally, including but not limited to ideas and activations for press, attending industry events, working closely with our agency partners such as Canva and Tracksuit on the ground.
You’ll have:
- 5+ years in a client management role in an agency environment.
- A strong network of local freelancers, agency partners, and client relationships.
- Experience in working in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Start-up energy; thrives in ambiguity, builds relationships quickly, and sees opportunity beyond the brief.
You’ll be comfortable with:
- Navigating complexity, moving between high-level strategy and hands-on delivery, ensuring nothing gets lost in translation.
- Leading client workshops (in conjunction with our Sydney team).
- Responding back on briefs, identifying opportunities and being helpful.
- Effectively and efficiently delivering projects.
- AI tools, with an openness to trying new ways of working.
- Working in tandem with Sydney HQ.
You are:
- A relationship-centred person.
- Always curious, hungry, straight-talking, and generally a good person to spend time with.
- Passionate about quality creativity and take pride in your work.
- The proactive and forward-thinking type.
- Always pushing your work to another level.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have hustle and initiative, this is the role for you. The team is a pretty fab bunch too, if we do say so ourselves.

- 4-day-a-week role, Fridays off.
- Hybrid working, 2 days in London, 2 from home.
