About RX Team

The RX, also known as the Retail and Experiential team, specialises in the Retail and Experiential activation. We provide an end-to-end service to our clients from strategic planning, design, production and operations of retail stores (permanent & temporary), pop-up activations, full service production and operations to roadshows and events (new product launches, media events and more). We take pride on our ability to meticulously plan and execute projects to client's satisfaction whilst providing them with optimal results.

The Role

The RX Project Manager reports in to the Business Director and independently manages small to medium sized projects or parts of a larger project ensuring that client needs are met and exceeded. The Project Manager will be a key day to day contact between all agency disciplines/departments, serving as the main point of contact and liaison between Account, Production Manager and subcontractors to ensure all projects are delivered with the highest quality, on-time, within scope, and budget.

The role will blend the requirements of being appropriately client facing with a need for strong organisational skills to manage the in-house, and 3rd party, project management tools. You will utilise the relevant agency and external partner resources to ensure all projects are delivered to the highest quality, on-time, within scope, and budget. Depending on the specific projects the role will involve some travel to clients, partners and UK/EU retail sites as required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the planning, management and delivery of retail or experiential projects
  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time, on-budget and to agreed specification
  • Define & ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met
  • Administering all activities and manage expectations while ensuring all operational objectives are fully achieved.
  • Manage project status reporting
  • Schedule regular team meetings and manage communications between team members
  • Participate in the development of integrated solutions that leverage agency offerings and are mutually beneficial for the client and the agency
  • Manage and coordinate project deliverables with various stakeholders, including Account, Production, external sub-contractors and the clients
  • Identify appropriate project resource requirement, work with Production Director and HoD to recruit necessary contractors / specialists where required
  • Budget management
  • Assist reconciling costs against budget
  • Evaluate the success of the project against project planning
  • Maintain and build key relationships with existing managers within the Agency and with existing managers of external contractors
  • Support senior account team members – provide essential support on major projects when required

Skills:

  • Strong IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively and multi-task
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong budget management and commercial acumen
  • Teamwork – able to work closely with team members across the Agency
  • Well developed, positive interpersonal skills
  • Able to take independent, proactive action to resolve challenges
  • Solution driven (effective problem solving skills), ability to provide alternative plans when required
  • Solid organisational skills and sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills – both spoken and written in English
  • Strong presentation skills – clear, concise, effective skills for briefing team members and external contractors

Requirements:

  • Degree educated (desirable)
  • 3-5 years of experience in either Retail or Experiential Project Management (client or agency)
  • Prior experience in Consumer Electronic industry is advantageous
