About RX Team
The RX team, abbreviation of Retail and Experiential, is a function within Cheil UK that specialises in the Retail and Experiential activations. We provide an end-to-end service to our clients from strategic planning, design, production and operations of retail stores (permanent & temporary), pop-up activations, FF&E production to roadshows and events (new product launches, media events and more). We take pride on our ability to meticulously plan and execute projects to client’s satisfaction whilst providing them with optimal results.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of European Retail Marketing covering our primary clients European retail channels, The Junior Account Manager will assist in the day to day delivery of retail projects, or specific work-streams in larger such projects ensuring that the client needs are met and exceeded. The main focus of the role will cover brand governance and guidance for our clients, ensuring all standards and requirements for retails stores are met. This includes creating and innovating new concepts to deliver to a European market.
The role will blend the requirements of being appropriately client facing with a need for strong organisational skills to manage the in-house, and 3rd party, project management tools. You will utilise the relevant agency and external partner resources to ensure all projects are delivered to the highest quality, on-time, within scope, and budget.
Depending on the specific projects the role will involve some travel to clients, partners and UK/EU retail sites as required.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Head of European Marketing in the management and delivery of key retail projects related to our clients diverse retail estate
- End to end responsibility for the internal/external project management tools
- Ensure all project milestones and deadlines are set and the Head of EO RM is informed on the delivery
- Manage project status reporting with stakeholders
- Create, deliver and co-manage briefs into the business for delivery
- Manage and coordinate project deliverables with various stakeholders, including Account, Production, external sub-contractors and the clients
- Assist reconciling costs against budget and partial budget management
- Evaluate the success of the project against project planning
- Maintain and build key relationships with existing managers within the Agency and additionally with clients where possible
- Support senior account team members – provide essential support on major projects across the RX team when required
Skills:
- Track record in working within a retail setting
- Strong IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and multi-task.
- Manage budgets, control costs and report financial matters effectively using 3rd party tools.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Teamwork – able to work closely with team members across the Agency
- Well developed, positive interpersonal skills
- Able to take independent, proactive action to resolve challenges
- Solution driven (effective problem solving skills), ability to provide alternative plans when required
- Solid organisational skills and sharp attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills – both spoken and written in English
- Experience in technology retail advantageous
