About Us
Joining Busuu means being part of one of the top EdTech companies in the world, a multiple award-winner recognised for its innovation and impact in language learning. Busuu’s vision is to empower people through languages. We are the world’s largest online community for language learning, with 120+ million registered users. We make learning a language easy by combining AI-powered courses with feedback from our global community of native speakers and lesson content designed for real life. Busuu is part of the global Chegg family. Chegg is the leading student-first connected learning platform and a NYSE listed company.
This is a hybrid Talent Acquisition and People Partner role, based in the UK, created to bring dedicated UK employment law and HR knowledge into the People & Culture team, supplementing and supporting our Spain-based Global People Partner on all UK matters, while owning full-cycle, in-house recruiting and organisational design partnership with the ELT.
AI is built into the role from the outset: sourcing, screening, scheduling, and even job description creation are all AI-enabled by design, not retrofitted later.
- Own full-cycle, in-house recruiting across all roles up to Director level using AI-powered sourcing and screening tools and an AI-enabled recruiting metrics dashboard - time to hire, time to fill, source of hire and other key indicators of success - built in from day one.
- Bring dedicated UK employment and HR generalist knowledge to the People & Culture team, supplementing and supporting the Global People Partner on UK employee relations, compliance, and policy matters.
- Partner with ELT-1 leaders to define scope, organisational design, and job descriptions for new and evolving roles, using AI tools to draft and iterate job descriptions with AI enablement embedded in the role itself, not added as an afterthought.
- Define talent and recruiting strategy for backfills, new roles, and future organisational planning during key business planning cycles.
- Partner with the People Operations Specialist and onshore/offshore recruiting support to ensure key hiring metrics are consistently achieved.
- Use AI-enabled chatbots and scheduling tools to manage interview coordination and candidate communication at scale, without losing candidate experience quality.
- Partner with the broader People & Culture team across Global transformation projects including organisational restructuring and providing guidance on labour relations.
What we’re looking for in a Senior Talent Partner:
- Full-cycle, in-house recruiting experience across mid-to-senior roles.
- UK employment law and HR generalist knowledge is required; you will be the team’s dedicated UK expert, supporting our Spain-based Global People Partner.
- Organisational design experience, including building job architecture and job descriptions.
- Genuine, hands-on comfort building and using AI-enabled recruiting and HR tools day to day, not just awareness that they exist.
- Experience managing offshore/onshore coordination for recruiting delivery.
- UK-based, with the flexibility to partner cross-border with a Spain-based People Partner and Global leadership team across time zones.
At Busuu we want to ensure that you have access to some great benefits:
- Our centrally located offices are well-equipped with free breakfast, plenty of snacks and fresh fruit.
- You get 2 free lunches per week at our office that you can choose out of a wide selection of restaurants in the area.
- Private Health Insurance scheme.
- We like to support our teams with their work-life balance so we offer flexible working hours and a hybrid or remote model of working.
- Enhanced maternity and paternity leave (depending on location).
- Staying connected as a team is very important to us, so we have lots of social activities for you to join such as team lunches, Thursday socials, quarterly team, and company events.
