Our client is known for high-end, creative, and customer-focused events, delivering memorable culinary experiences. As Assistant Head Chef, you will work alongside the Executive Chef to maintain exceptional standards and bring passion, organisation, and leadership to the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design innovative menus and food offers.
- Ensure high product knowledge and excellence in food taste, presentation, and technique.
- Develop event budgets in partnership with the CEO and manage kitchen costs efficiently.
- Conduct client tastings and translate their vision into standout menu experiences.
- Prepare weekly rotas, manage staffing levels, and enforce company policies.
- Monitor kitchen budgets and food GP targets without compromising on quality.
- Manage supplier relationships, place and receive orders, and control stock levels.
- Lead monthly stock-takes and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Uphold a 5* hygiene rating and ensure all back-of-house operations are safe and compliant.
- Provide operational support across all venues as needed.
- Handle all food stock deliveries and associated administrative documentation.
- Ensure storage areas are secure, clean, and well-organised.
- Communicate kitchen activity clearly across the wider team.
- Build effective partnerships with internal stakeholders.
- Represent and maintain the professional reputation of the business.
