We are looking for a passionate and eager Commis chef to join our clients stunning country house hotel in Malton, North Yorkshire. The establishment has a fantastic reputation as a destination hotel which nestles pleasingly in the market town of Malton. There is a strong emphasis on producing modern British cuisine and using ingredients sourced as locally as possible and always in keeping with the seasons.
The large, modern kitchen is well equipped to deal with the conference and banqueting as well as a strong trade from both the restaurant and the more informal brasserie option for dining guests. This is a great opportunity for a chef to develop their skills and work as part of a passionate team to further develop the business. Live in is available for the right candidate.
Candidate Role:- Assist in the running of a designated section in the kitchen
- Work with the senior team to benefit your career
- Adopt kitchen hygiene protocols
- Ensure the consistency of all produce is in line with the chef’s specification and standards
- Assist in each department - restaurant/C&B and wedding functions
- Assist in daily food prep and service
- Commis chef experience is preferred
- All fresh food background is a must
