We are currently working alongside a beautifully revamped gastro pub who are searching to recruit a strong passionate Head Chef to join their team and push forward to greater success. This well-presented rural country pub has a fantastic reputation in the local area which nestles pleasingly on the outskirts of Bicester. The talented team of chefs work as a fantastic team to the highest level possible.
There is a strong emphasis on producing modern British cuisine and using ingredients sourced as locally as possible and always in keeping with the seasons. The kitchen also offers fantastic in-house butcher training where the team hang their own charcuterie. This is a great opportunity for a Head Chef to take the reins in their career and demonstrate their skills to develop the business.
The average working week will be around 45 hours which spans 5 days over 7 for an amazing salary of £40K with fantastic tips.
Candidate Role- Assume responsibility of the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Assume responsibility of the quality of the kitchen produce
- Adopt and maintain the kitchen’s hygiene protocols
- Train and develop the junior members of the team
- Ensure consistently high standards through a hands-on approach to prep and service
- Work across all sections of the kitchen, providing support where needed
- Assist with purchasing, stock control and budgeting
- Fresh food background is a must
