Chef's Farms is the missing link between kitchen and farm. We match chefs and hospitality businesses to farmers within our network, delivering farm‑fresh produce within 48 hours of harvest, with full farm‑level traceability and a genuinely personal service. We’re growing, and we’re looking for someone to help us build deeper roots across West Sussex.
This is a field‑based, relationship‑first sales role focused on West Sussex's independent hospitality scene — gastropubs, country pubs, boutique hotels, and local restaurants. You’ll be the face of Chef's Farms in the region, building and managing a portfolio of accounts that value quality, provenance, and a supplier who actually picks up the phone.
What You'll Be Doing
- Identifying and approaching new prospects across West Sussex — pubs, restaurants, hotels, and catering businesses who’d benefit from a direct farm supply relationship
- Managing and growing a portfolio of existing smaller accounts, keeping them engaged through great service and seasonal product knowledge
- Visiting customers regularly
- Working with the team to match customer menus to seasonal availability and our crop calendar
- Logging orders, updating customer records, and communicating clearly with the operations team to ensure smooth deliveries
- Representing Chef’s Farms at local food events, farm walks, and trade occasions where relevant
What We're Looking For
- A natural relationship‑builder. Warm, reliable, and genuinely interested in food and where it comes from
- Experience in a sales, account management, or customer‑facing role (B2B preferred)
- A feel for the hospitality world. Experience in food, drink, or catering is a bonus but not a dealbreaker; what matters is that you get what chefs and pub operators need
- Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently across a region
- Full UK driving licence — you’ll be out and about
- Good with the basics: organised, responsive, and able to keep on top of a small account portfolio without dropping the ball
