Cook – Probation Trust Hostels

Rate: £17/hour + Holiday Pay (£19.05/hour total)

Essential: Basic DBS check required

Role Overview: We are seeking experienced cooks to work independently within Probation Trust hostels, preparing and serving home -cooked meals for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve nutritious home -cooked meals
  
• Work autonomously in hostel kitchen environments
  
• Complete required paperwork and food safety documentation
  
• Report to site supervisor on long -term assignments
  

  Assignment Types: Work requirements vary by site and may include:
  

  • Ongoing cover for permanent vacancies
    
  • Short -term cover (weekend shifts, few days at a time)
    
  • Holiday/sickness cover
    
  • Temporary assignments (typically 4+ weeks)
    

    Typical Shift Patterns:
    

    • 12pm – 6pm or 1pm – 7pm
      
    • Weekday, weekend, or combination shifts available
      
    • Mix of regular and ad -hoc assignments
      

      Flexible cooks able to accommodate varying shift patterns and locations are preferred.
