Cook - Probation Trust Hostels
Rate: £17/hour + Holiday Pay (£19.05/hour total)
Essential: Basic DBS check required
Role Overview: We are seeking experienced cooks to work independently within Probation Trust hostels, preparing and serving home-cooked meals for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve nutritious home-cooked meals
- Work autonomously in hostel kitchen environments
- Complete required paperwork and food safety documentation
- Report to site supervisor on long-term assignments
Assignment Types: Work requirements vary by site and may include:
- Ongoing cover for permanent vacancies
- Short-term cover (weekend shifts, few days at a time)
- Holiday/sickness cover
- Temporary assignments (typically 4+ weeks)
Typical Shift Patterns:
- 12pm - 6pm or 1pm - 7pm
- Weekday, weekend, or combination shifts available
- Mix of regular and ad-hoc assignments
Flexible cooks able to accommodate varying shift patterns and locations are preferred.
