We are looking for a Residential Valuation Surveyor to join our Professional Valuation Team at the Firm’s Head Office in Cambridge. We welcome applications from individuals who wish to be considered for part-time working (from 15 hours), up to full-time working, or other flexible-working arrangements.
We have been in business in Cambridgeshire for nearly 200 years. We are a privately owned, independent partnership and make buying, selling and taking professional advice easy, enjoyable and rewarding. We started life as cattle auctioneers back in 1825 and today we have six offices across the region offering advice on property, land, farms, fine art, tractors and steam engines, as well as hosting regular auctions for all of these divisions. What will you be doing?
- Undertake Red Book valuations on predominantly residential properties for IHT, CGT, disposal and acquisition purposes, along with Expert Witness reports depending on your experience.
- Carry out property inspections to produce accurate and compliant residential valuation reports.
- Ensure reporting meets regulatory requirements and adheres to all legislation and policies.
- Attend networking events and liaise with industry professionals to help generate future work.
What will it take to be successful?
- MRICS or AssocRICS qualified with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- RICS registered valuer.
- High level of professional integrity and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage own case load and work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK Driving License and use of own car that is insured for business use.
