The predicted salary is between 981 - 1207 £ per month.

An excellent opportunity for a flexible Chef or Cook to join the hospitality team at a care home which is part of a successful group. The permanent position is 35 hours a week (40 hours one week, 30 hours the next), 11 hour shifts 8am to 7pm on a rota basis with every other weekend off. You will cover chefs for annual leave and sickness and front of house if required.

In this job you will be providing nutritionally balanced and visually appealing fresh food meals and snacks whilst also catering for special dietary requirements. In this role you will be working with the Head Chef in the kitchen so it is a small team and you will liaise with the care staff to ensure residents' needs are catered for.

Requirements:

  • A Chef or Cook who has a proven track record and a minimum of 2 years experience of working in fresh food kitchens, with experience of dietary needs and special diets.
  • Experience of baking, especially cakes, scones and biscuits is advantageous.
  • Good communication skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to provide meals for the residents and cater for parties and birthdays.
  • A level 2 food safety certificate is important.
