The Chef Owner of a rural country Inn is seeking a Head Chef & Sous Chef who can ensure that current high standards and reputation of this upmarket gastro pub are retained in his absence. The kitchen of the property has a team of four chefs who you will work with ensuring a punctual, quality service. As well as the seasonally changing home cooked pub classics with a modern twist menus, there are also regular changing upmarket specials all prepared with fresh ingredients that are locally sourced where possible. There is a 30 to 60 cover lunch and dinner service, bar snacks are available and small private functions are catered for.
Requirements:
- A Head & Sous Chef who can show longevity working in a similar fresh food pub environment where you were cooking all dishes from scratch using high quality, fresh ingredients.
- The role needs a strong team leader who has a mature approach to training in the kitchen in order to get the best out of your team.
- All chefs should be fully aware of current hygiene legislation with experience of training others in this area and ensuring it is followed at all times.
