The owner of an established 200 cover fish and seafood restaurant is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to join the stable team in the kitchen. The restaurant is popular all year round but very busy during the summer season, serving locals and destination visitors with dishes on the menus created using fresh seasonally changing fish and shellfish.

This is a hands-on role and you will be leading from the front; this job will give you an opportunity to put your own ideas on the daily special dishes. As Senior Sous Chef you will ensure the junior members of the team are prepared for service, that the standard of the dishes produced are as expected and that service times run smoothly whilst also supporting the head chef to maintain the paperwork and GPs.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead from the front in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Ensure junior team members are prepared for service, maintain high standards of plated dishes, keep to service timings, and support the head chef with paperwork and GP administration.
Requirements:
  • The successful candidate should have experience of working with fish and shellfish dishes and a minimum of three years experience at sous chef level in a busy environment.
  • It is essential that you are hard working, passionate, forward thinking and have a can do attitude.
  • It is also essential that you have a proven track record of operating in similar restaurant environments and have demonstrated the ability to lead a team.

This Restaurant is closed each January.
