The General Manager of this well run modern corporate hotel, located in Sheffield, is seeking a Head Chef who can maintain the high standard of spec menus currently offered. The hotel offers both cooked and continental breakfast and also has a separate refurbished brasserie that offers quality fresh food dishes. There is also a very busy banqueting and conference department capable of serving in excess of 300 covers. The kitchen is a good size and as head chef you will be leading a brigade of 6 Chefs, so good leadership skills are also required. Completing all necessary paperwork and ensuring the kitchen is performing financially is also a key part of this role.
Requirements:
- This role would suit a very strong Sous Chef seeking their first Head Chef role or a Head Chef looking for a new challenge in their career.
- This position would be ideal for a chef who has a proven track record of working in a 4 star fresh food branded operation with a busy banqueting department.
- Excellent knowledge of current kitchen regulations and the ability to consistently meet GP is essential for this position.
