Shambles is a family-run, independent Italian restaurant & winebar in the heart of Teddington. Our aim has always been to create a relaxed and welcoming restaurant without pretence or fuss, serving seasonal Italian food with integrity. We cook from scratch using quality ingredients, including produce grown in our own kitchen garden, and work closely with trusted suppliers to source the very best ingredients.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 1 year's experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a similar fresh-food environment
  • Experience with Italian cuisine is highly desirable (please note, we do not serve pizza)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety procedures
  • Confident working with fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Ability to lead by example and support the development of junior team members
  • Calm and organised under pressure
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent reliability
  • Good communication skills and a genuine team-player mentality
  • Passion for cooking and a desire to continue learning and developing
