We are looking for a Senior Pastry Chef to join our bakery team, bringing depth of experience to daily pastry production, finishing, and service operations while naturally supporting the growth of those around them. This role is well suited to an experienced pastry professional with a strong technical foundation who is confident working independently and contributing to the high standards our customers know and love.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily pastry and viennoiserie production to a high standard, working independently and with minimal supervision.
- Produce laminated doughs to a high standard, maintaining consistency across all viennoiserie products.
- Set and uphold presentation standards for finishing and decoration, delivering consistent results across all products.
- Monitor product quality and consistency throughout the day, identifying and addressing any deviations promptly.
- Manage baking schedules and production planning to ensure product availability is maintained during service.
- Share knowledge and techniques with junior team members as part of day-to-day production.
- Monitor stock levels and minimise waste through effective rotation and production planning.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, allergen, and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.
- Support deliveries, stock checks, and broader bakery operations as required.
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in a pastry kitchen, with a strong foundation in viennoiserie and bakery production.
- Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in laminated dough production.
- Sufficient experience and confidence to work independently across all areas of pastry production.
- Deep knowledge of food safety, allergen management, and hygiene regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and production timelines.
- A meticulous eye for detail and a genuine commitment to quality and consistency.
