Patty & Pickle is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our small kitchen team. We serve a focused menu of quality burgers, sides, and house‑made products, with an emphasis on consistency, freshness, and great food. This is a casual role with regular hours available, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced but supportive environment and wants to develop their kitchen skills within a close‑knit team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily food preparation and mise en place
  • Prepare and cook menu items to company standards
  • Support service during busy periods, maintaining speed and consistency
  • Help with stock rotation, storage, and labelling
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
  • Assisting with receiving and checking deliveries
  • Follow food safety procedures and HACCP requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
  • Support opening and closing kitchen duties
  • Minimise waste and help maintain an organised workspace

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential
