BGirls Kitchen is a busy Afro-Caribbean takeaway specialising in seafood boils, rice dishes, seafood, chicken and freshly prepared sides. We are looking for an experienced Cook or Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role in a small, fast-paced takeaway kitchen, preparing and assembling customer orders for collection and delivery.
- Preparing and cooking customer orders quickly and accurately
- Working across different kitchen stations during service
- Following BGirls Kitchen recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards
- Managing multiple orders during busy periods
- Preparing seafood, chicken, rice dishes and sides
- Reading and managing orders from Uber Eats, Deliveroo and other ordering platforms
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness
- Completing opening, closing and cleaning duties
- Restocking and preparing your station for service
Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, restaurant or busy takeaway is essential. Confident working independently during busy service. Good organisation and time management. Comfortable using delivery tablets/order systems. Reliable and punctual. Able to work evenings and weekends. Food Hygiene Level 2 is desirable. This is not a front-of-house role. Applicants should already have practical kitchen experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment.
