Carmelina's is looking for an experienced and reliable Breakfast Chef to join the opening team of our new restaurant in Central London.

This role requires someone who has successfully run a breakfast service before and can demonstrate this through previous employment, references and clear examples of the operation they were responsible for.,

  • Take ownership of breakfast preparation and service.
  • Run a busy breakfast section confidently and efficiently.
  • Prepare eggs, breakfast dishes and all mise en place to a consistently high standard.
  • Ensure the section is fully ready before service begins.
  • Maintain consistency in cooking, portioning and presentation.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team.
  • Manage stock, communicate shortages and minimise waste.
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and organisation.
  • Follow all allergen, food safety and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Support preparation for the wider restaurant operation when required.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate previous experience successfully running a breakfast service as a chef.

We will be looking for evidence of

  • Previous responsibility for a breakfast section or breakfast operation.
  • Experience managing mise en place and service independently.
  • Confidence with eggs and high-volume breakfast cooking.
  • Ability to organise the section before, during and after service.
  • Previous employer references where appropriate., Have the legal right to work in the UK and be able to provide the required Right to Work documentation.
  • Be able to provide valid identification and employment documentation during onboarding.
  • Have a good understanding of UK food hygiene, allergen and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Provide evidence of relevant food safety/allergen training where available, or complete the required company training before starting., We're looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, organised and comfortable with early starts.
  • You should be calm under pressure, proud of your section and capable of running breakfast service with confidence rather than needing constant supervision.
