The role will involve preparing authentic South Indian dishes, developing new recipes, supporting menu innovation and ensuring that all food is prepared to a high standard of taste, presentation and hygiene.
- Prepare authentic South Indian dishes, including dosas, idlis, vadas, sambars, chutneys, curries, rice dishes, snacks and traditional sweets.
- Demonstrate knowledge of regional cuisines such as Udupi, Mangalorean, Chettinad and Konkan cooking.
- Maintain the authentic flavours, techniques and presentation of South Indian cuisine.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced South Indian Chef to join the kitchen team at MTR 1924. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of traditional South Indian vegetarian cuisine, excellent culinary skills and the ability to maintain consistent quality during busy service periods.
