Head Chef - PYRÁ - London in Hampstead

We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at a modern European restaurant inspired by Spanish and Greek Mediterranean flavours. You will oversee restaurant service, brunch and a diverse programme of weddings, private dining, corporate events, canapé receptions and bowl-food catering. The role includes:

• Leading menu development and execution across lunch, dinner, brunch and private events.
• Creating seasonal dishes that combine traditional techniques with a modern approach.
• Designing tailored menus for events, tastings and different service formats.
• Planning production and kitchen logistics for high-volume events while maintaining consistently high standards.
• Managing prep schedules, ordering, stock control, food safety, allergens and waste reduction.
• Costing dishes, managing suppliers and supporting strong gross profit performance.
• Recruiting, training and developing a high-performing kitchen team.
• Managing rotas, labour costs and staff performance.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen in line with EHO standards.
• Working closely with the owner, general manager and events team to ensure seamless kitchen and front-of-house operations.

  You should have at least five years' experience in senior kitchen roles. Strong experience in Spanish and/or Greek cuisine, Mediterranean produce and modern culinary techniques is essential. You will also need proven experience delivering à la carte service and event catering simultaneously, excellent menu-costing and organisational skills, strong people-management abilities, and the confidence to perform under pressure.
