We are looking for an experienced Thai Wok Chef to join our team for a Thai food operation in Mayfair.
- Prepare and cook Thai dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
- Confidently operate and manage a commercial wok station.
- Prepare dishes such as Pad Thai, stir-fried noodles, rice dishes and other Thai wok dishes.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portion size and presentation.
- Prepare ingredients and complete mise en place before service.
- Work quickly and efficiently during busy service periods.
- Deliver friendly, professional and efficient customer service when required.
- Communicate confidently with customers and answer menu questions.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and organisation.
- Follow HACCP, allergen, food safety and health & safety procedures.
- Assist with stock rotation, deliveries and waste control.
- Complete opening and closing duties.
- Work efficiently under pressure and support the wider team.
- We need someone with strong professional experience in Thai cuisine and commercial wok cooking. You should be confident managing a busy wok station, working at speed and consistently producing high-quality food., Professional Thai cooking experience is essential.
- Commercial wok experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Thai ingredients, sauces, flavours and cooking techniques.
- Experience preparing Pad Thai and other wok-based Thai dishes.
- Confident managing a wok station independently during busy service.
- Previous experience in a busy restaurant, takeaway or street-food environment.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Able to work quickly while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Must be available to start from 1 November 2026., This is an experienced chef position. Applicants must have genuine professional experience with Thai cuisine and commercial wok cooking. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to complete a practical cooking trial.
