This is an exciting opportunity for a chef with at least 2 years experience of working in a café. We are seeking 1-2 people to join the team on a casual contract, working Saturdays and Sundays, 8.30am-1pm.
Main areas of responsibility, including but not limited to:
- Preparing a simple breakfast menu alongside toasties and soups
- Maintaining a clean and sanitized working environment
- Working with the cafe manager to perform stock checks and placing new orders
- Design and follow recipes and presentations for food and beverage items
- Being aware of and following operational policies and procedures
- Being punctual and maintaining regular and consistent attendance
- The ability to work flexible hours and shifts which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends and bank holidays
- Contributing to a positive work environment
- Clear communication skills
Previous experience of working in a cafe or alternative hospitality setting is required. Food Hygiene Level 3 and Allergen Awareness certificate, as well as UK Right to Work, are also necessary.
Desirable:
- Experience of working within a community café
- Can easily commute to the centre
