We are seeking skilled and reliable Truck Drivers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with curtain sided trailers, and possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a lorry to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing it appropriately for transport.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Light vehicle maintenance & re-torques.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for HGV Class 1 operation.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • FORS Training Ideal.
