Checkwells provides detailed inventory check‑ins, check‑outs and mid‑term inspections for upmarket estate agencies, Build‑to‑Rent operators and professional landlords across Greater London. Our reports are more detailed than the market average, and we pay more than the average provider in return for higher standards of accuracy, reliability and professionalism. We have our own proven way of working and specific report format, and you’ll need to be comfortable adapting to that. We’ll train and support you, but consistency matters.
The Role
You’ll be visiting rental properties across Greater London to:
- Complete:
- Inventory check‑in reports
- Mid‑term inspections
- End of tenancy / check‑out inspections
- Take clear, comprehensive photos and record the condition of each room and item using our templates.
- Produce accurate, detailed written reports in our specific format.
- Manage your own daily schedule to meet agreed appointment times and workload.
- Communicate politely and professionally with tenants, agents and landlords on site.
Working patterns:
- Full-time option: Standard full‑time hours (details to be agreed). Includes one weekend day per month as part of a rota (with notice).
- Part-time option: Flexible part‑time days (to be agreed based on your availability). No weekend work required for part‑time, unless you choose to.
Requirements (for all applicants)
- Previous employment reference (we will request and check this).
- DBS – Basic Disclosure (either already held or willing to obtain before starting).
- Strong written English and good attention to detail.
- Comfortable travelling around Greater London for appointments.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
- Willing to follow a set format and adapt to our way of working.
Experience
- Full-time: Experience in inventories / inspections / residential property is preferred, but we will consider candidates without direct experience if the attitude and work ethic are right.
- Part-time: Previous experience as a property inventory clerk/inspector (or very similar role) is essential. You should be confident producing reports and using apps/software to complete them.
