Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Tech Writing, the Senior Technical Writer will develop clear, consistent, high‑quality technical content covering documentation, API reference, and support sites. You will work closely with product, engineering, design, and marketing teams to produce developer‑friendly materials that align with the Docs‑as‑Code approach.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain technical documentation, API reference, and support site content.
- Collaborate with writers, designers, marketers, and engineers across multiple disciplines.
- Use Git and Docs‑as‑Code practices to manage content.
- Document complex APIs, including OpenAPI (OAS) specification.
- Advocate for user needs and incorporate feedback into content.
- Track usage analytics and user research to improve documentation.
- Leverage emerging tools, such as AI, to increase individual and team productivity.
Qualifications
- Experience in online payments and/or SaaS.
- Strong understanding of Git and the Docs‑as‑Code approach.
- Experience documenting complex APIs and reading code in at least one programming language.
- Familiarity with JSON, YAML, and Markdown.
- Knowledge of the OpenAPI (OAS) specification.
- Experience with content analytics and user research.
- Curiosity about AI tools and how they improve content.
