With 19 offices spanning six continents, we feel at home everywhere – but London is our HQ. Wherever our people work their magic, they’re fast-moving, performance-obsessed, and driven by being better every day. Ideal. Because a role here isn’t just another job; it’s a career-defining opportunity to build the future of fintech.

Creative at Checkout.com

We’re determined to build the best FinTech brand in the world. To do this, we’ve built a Creative team that is a collaborative group of problem-solvers who partner with people across the business on a wide range of activities. From brand identity, product marketing, and performance campaigns to physical brand environments, responsive web experiences, and bespoke pitches. We’ve built retro games, Out-of-home campaigns across London and the US, created immersive event experiences, and TV ads that introduce the invisible engine behind payments for the world’s biggest brands. And we’re just getting started.

About the Creative team:

We’re a diverse team of creative thinkers with a strong culture of experimentation and collaboration at its heart. And we love the work we do. Our Creative Operations team helps make sure we’re on the right work at the right time. We partner closely and cross-functionally with Product Design, and hold regular Design Town Halls where we align and cross-pollinate to cultivate our shared vision for design at Checkout. We work alongside sharp Marketeers who help drive our brand awareness across the world. We stand by our design principles, systems, and standards that support us in creating world-class work with our colleagues and partners.

Senior Brand Designers at Checkout

Senior Brand Designers at Checkout constantly push for better, not just different. We take the time to home in on the right idea or visual approach that hits the brief, and results in impactful creative solutions. But we also build systems and processes that enable us to create work to the highest quality at speed, constantly evolving and pushing our brand. Our designers excel at succinctly describing design choices that are precise, informed and well-crafted, making our brand as distinctive as possible. We visualise the impossible, craft to a high level and never settle for ‘ok’ as an outcome. Senior Brand Designers are leading figures in the creative team, and should expect to own in-house projects, and be comfortable coordinating other designers via our network of freelancers or agency partners.

What we’re looking for:

  • Expertise in creative development and visual problem-solving, working alongside copywriters and other designers to bring to life ideas and concepts for a range of different projects.
  • Ability to quickly and creatively visualise intangible and abstract business concepts, processes and data, turning these into compelling creative solutions.
  • Excellence in crafting design, implementing feedback, managing stakeholders and delivering the right design outputs to spec.
  • A strong aptitude for typography and layout across any type of touchpoint.
  • Experience creating templated assets or systems for self-serve facilities, and the capability to operationalise activities to increase efficiency.
  • You think holistically about the solution – the flow of content, the visual style, the conceptual approach.
  • You’re a guardian of our brand, with a great understanding of how we utilise creative thinking across various channels and communications.
  • Inspire everyone around you in creating a culture of excellence, and thrive on teaching, coaching, and mentoring designers.
  • You are skilled in articulating your work, the process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and you’re proactive in getting constructive feedback to help you produce your best work.
  • A drive to deliver exceptional work and always iterate for better solutions.

About you:

  • You care deeply about your work, and strive to deliver the best quality output possible. You welcome constructive criticism.
  • You’re not an island. You can show and tell us how you’ve helped the people around you get better, or brought in others’ support from inside or outside the team to get something done.
  • You think in systems. You can anticipate the ripple effects small and large changes will have on the brand experience.
  • You highly prize being accountable. You take ownership for every action, share faults and failures, strive for better, and build trust.
  • You’re self-motivated and can work independently.
  • You love learning. You might not have experience for everything this role requires, but you’re excited to grow and learn – sometimes 'wearing many hats' in a team.

You might be working on:

  • Exploring, developing, and visualizing conceptual approaches for integrated campaigns, working alongside other creatives in the team to bring to life great ideas across projects. This could be out of home campaigns across London or more targeted direct-mail campaigns.
  • Designing experiential brand activations for our flagship global events.
  • Leading the creation of new brand elements and sub-brands for key programmes, events, or activities.
  • Unique RFP responses, developing tailored experiences with a strong creative concept to ensure we maximise our chance of winning, working with our commercial partners.
  • Commercial and sales collateral, making amazing experiences that are highly personalised for our strategic accounts, and providing scalable solutions to meet the demand of the sales teams.
  • Sophisticated white paper reports and data visualisation, detailed and well presented analysis of trends, current and future, and visualising information in compelling and creative ways, both static and dynamic.
