Our Corporate Technology team is the engine that powers Checkout.com from the inside out. We ensure our global workforce is equipped with secure, scalable, and high‑performing technology, supporting everything from day‑to‑day operations to enterprise‑wide transformations. As a Senior Project Manager (L5) within Corporate Technology, you will drive the execution of high‑impact, highly visible projects across three core teams: IT (Engineering and Operations), People Technology, and Finance Technology. You will act as the primary delivery owner—managing complex cross‑functional dependencies, driving alignment, and ensuring the successful execution of critical initiatives that support Checkout’s global scale, regulatory environment, and pace.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Own and execute large‑scale, high‑visibility Corporate Technology programmes and projects that strengthen Checkout.com’s internal technology foundations for a global, regulated payments business.
  • Partner closely with IT, Engineering, Finance, and People teams to translate strategic goals into clear, actionable delivery plans that improve resilience, control, and employee experience across a globally distributed organisation.
  • Proactively navigate complex, interconnected internal environments to track dependencies, mitigate risks, and unblock teams across multiple business units, systems, and geographies.
  • Use established delivery frameworks, intake processes, and reporting cadences to maintain momentum, ensuring clear accountability across project teams.
  • Deliver AI and automation initiatives that improve internal service delivery, operational efficiency, and scale across Corporate Technology domains.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing crisp, transparent, and data‑backed updates on project progress, risks, and strategic trade‑offs.
  • Work effectively with Security, Compliance, Legal, and control‑focused stakeholders, demonstrating literacy in areas such as GDPR, TPRM, and SOX‑adjacent controls to ensure programmes align with Checkout.com’s operating environment.
  • Manage vendor‑backed delivery where needed, including coordinating with strategic partners such as CloudPay, and support budget ownership, commercial tracking, and delivery accountability across third‑party engagements.

What We’re Looking For

  • You have 7+ years of dedicated programme or project management experience, specifically delivering technology and IT programmes across a broad, diverse range of projects (for example, infrastructure, internal tooling, enterprise applications, and platform change).
  • Proven track record supporting or working closely with internal corporate functions such as IT, People Technology, or Finance Technology.
  • Hands‑on experience leading complex, cross‑department projects end‑to‑end, with a proven ability to turn high‑level ambiguity into a structured execution plan.
  • You bring structure, clarity, and focus to complex technical programmes, helping teams maintain momentum and delivery discipline in a fast‑paced, globally distributed environment.
  • You are proactive and resourceful, independently identifying delivery bottlenecks, navigating ambiguity, and driving pragmatic solutions across technical, operational, and vendor‑managed workstreams.
  • Strong understanding of how to operate in regulated and controlled environments, with working literacy in security, compliance, and risk concepts relevant to a company like Checkout.com.
  • Experience managing third‑party vendors and budgets, with the ability to balance delivery outcomes, commercial considerations, and partner accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical dependencies, risks, and trade‑offs clearly and succinctly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

If you have a passion for technology and a desire to shape our end‑user technology experience, this exciting opportunity invites you to make a significant impact in a technology‑driven organisation.
