About the role:
This role is part of the Finance Technology Platforms team, reporting to the Manager, Finance Technology Platforms. The team's purpose is to enable the Finance Team to deliver on Checkout.com's objectives through system implementations, process re-engineering, and operating model design. As an Engineer, you will manage key financial systems, which include Workday (including Adaptive Planning), Zip, Emburse Enterprise, Boomi and Coupa. You’ll provide Application Management Support (AMS) and partner with key users to improve the systems. You will also support Finance Transformation initiatives based on your experience.
What you will be doing:
- Providing AMS services, which includes incident and release management, end-user training, creating online help documents, vendor coordination, and testing.
- Managing user subscriptions.
- Supporting broader Finance Transformation initiatives, which may involve working with software implementation partners, process mapping, control assessment, process automation, and policy creation.
- Communicating effectively with direct stakeholders, knowing when to seek assistance and return with a clear answer.
- Confidently analyzing data to make recommendations and informed decisions.
- Delivering well-defined, task-level work within your team.
- Consistently displaying a willingness to accept guidance and proactively learning from others.
What we're looking for:
- Technical acumen with hands-on experience of configuring technical solutions.
- A Financial qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Experience using or supporting enterprise financial systems, with operational finance experience in AP, P2P, and Expense functions.
- A good base-level understanding of Finance Technology concepts and practices.
- The ability to deliver small to medium-sized tasks and take responsibility for the quality of your work.
- Good understanding of integration approaches.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent at communicating to stakeholders and team members to identify issues and propose solutions.
- Able to identify problems, define the root cause, determine the solution and propose the solution.
- Able to translate technical expertise into solutions and process guidance to implement improvements or address user issues.
Additional experience preferred:
- Experience with VBA or SQL.
- Experience with low-code integration platforms.
- Experience in the administration of systems such as Zip, Emburse, Workday, or Adaptive.
