Checkout.com is looking for an experienced Senior Integrations Engineer to join the team responsible for owning integrations across our Finance (ERP) and People (HCM) systems. This is an experienced integration role for someone ready to operate independently – owning the day‑to‑day reliability of integrations and also solutioning new technical integrations. You’ll partner closely with our Finance, People, and global Corporate Technology teams to keep critical data flowing accurately between Workday, our ERP, and the wider Checkout.com tech stack, supporting processes that power payroll, hiring, vendor management, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and enhance integrations between our Finance (ERP) and People (HCM) systems, including Workday, and the broader Checkout.com tech stack.
- Independently triage, diagnose, and resolve integration failures and data discrepancies within SLA, escalating when issues exceed defined complexity thresholds.
- Lead the development and support of Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS, Workday Studio and Workday Orchestrate.
- Partner with Finance and People stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable, well‑documented integrations.
- Support the data flows behind critical processes including Joiner/Mover/Leaver, payroll, vendor master, AP, and GL postings.
- Monitor integration health, build alerting for failures, and proactively address recurring issues before they impact stakeholders.
- Lead Workday and ERP release cycles through impact analysis, regression testing, and change management.
- Author clear technical documentation, integration runbooks, and knowledge base entries to support the team and downstream users.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience building and managing multiple integrations between ERP and HCM platforms in a fast‑paced corporate environment, with a track record of acting with urgency and ownership.
- Experience leading an integration workstream and coaching junior integration engineers.
- Multiple years of experience with Workday’s integration tooling (EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS, Studio, Orchestrate).
- Advanced knowledge of integration patterns and technologies: REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, XML, XSLT, JSON, and middleware platforms such as Workato, MuleSoft, and Boomi.
- Tooling awareness: expertise with market‑leading Finance and People systems such as Workday, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or ZIP.
- Solid SQL skills and comfort working with data mappings, transformations, and reconciliations.
- Creative problem‑solving skills with a strong customer service mindset, a positive can‑do attitude, and a willingness to learn and develop. Capable of researching independently to find solutions to various integration issues.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English, with the ability to coordinate seamlessly with Finance, People, and global technology teams.
