What you'll be doing:
- Design, build, and maintain dynamic pricing models and frameworks for the Checkout.com product suite, using cost‑plus, value‑based, and algorithmic methodologies.
- Build financial models to forecast product costs, margins, and profitability, running sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to test different pricing strategies.
- Extract and model internal and external data to build pricing benchmarks, using these insights to calibrate and improve our pricing framework.
- Build tracking models to analyse how our pricing frameworks perform in the real world, comparing projected model outcomes against actual commercial results.
- Build models to quantify competitor pricing and regional market dynamics, using the data to optimise our regional rate cards.
- Translate complex modelling into clear, actionable pricing proposals and present findings to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Work with the commercial and marketing teams to turn model outputs into clear pricing collateral for our go‑to‑market teams.
About you:
- Proven background in pricing modelling, financial modelling, or quantitative analytics, ideally at a payment processor, Card Scheme, issuing bank, or high‑growth fintech.
- Strong financial modelling abilities (Advanced Excel is mandatory) with a track record of building scalable, reliable commercial models from scratch.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Proficiency in data modelling using SQL and BI tools is highly preferred, and Python or R experience is a bonus.
- Proactive and comfortable taking full ownership of complex modelling projects from concept to launch.
- Able to build strong working relationships with partners across Finance, Product, and Sales.
- Able to translate complex quantitative models into straightforward narratives for stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.
