At Checkout.com, we believe that high performance starts with clarity, accountability, and meaningful goals. We’re looking for a Performance & Goals Specialist to help build and embed a performance management approach that enables our people to do their best work—and be recognised and rewarded for it.
Sitting within the People team, you’ll lead the development and operational delivery of our performance and goals process, ensuring it’s simple, fair, and aligned to how we work. You’ll partner closely with People Partners, Total Rewards, and business leaders to design, implement, and scale a consistent approach to goal-setting, feedback, and performance calibration that supports career growth and ties directly into compensation.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role with room to shape the strategy and drive real outcomes for how we manage performance across the company.
What you’ll be doing- Lead the development and execution of performance management strategies and operational plans.
- Manage end-to-end execution of the performance review cycles.
- Drive the automation of performance operations processes and implement new tools and systems to enable a high-performance culture.
- Monitor adoption and engagement, following up with teams to ensure compliance with mandatory processes (e.g., goal setting).
- Maintain performance dashboards and reporting tools, providing visibility into key metrics for managers and leadership.
- Generate insights from performance data to highlight trends, adoption issues, and operational blockers.
- Define, implement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments and roles.
- Assist with training sessions, guides, and communications to support the rollout of performance programmes.
- Collaborate with People Partners and Tech teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of performance management systems.
- Collaborate with Recruitment to identify key high-performer traits and support talent mapping through data analysis.
- Proven experience owning or supporting performance management processes in a high-growth, fast-paced company.
- Strong understanding of goal-setting frameworks (e.g. SMART goals, OKRs) and how they drive performance and accountability.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills—you’re comfortable running processes end-to-end.
- Clear, confident communicator who can influence managers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Hands-on mindset: you’re just as happy building a new template as you are advising on policy.
- Strong collaborator who thrives in cross-functional work, especially with Reward, People Ops, and business teams.
- Experience working with HRIS or performance management systems (e.g. Workday, Lattice, CultureAmp).
- A passion for making performance processes simple, human, and effective.

Here, you’ll move fast, take on meaningful challenges, and be recognized for the impact you deliver. It’s a place where ambition gets met with opportunity – and where your growth is in your hands.
We work as one team, and we back each other to succeed. So whatever your background or identity, if you’re ready to grow and make a difference, you’ll be right at home here.
It’s important we set you up for success and make our process as accessible as possible. So let us know in your application, or tell your recruiter directly, if you need anything to make your experience or working environment more comfortable.
