How You’ll Make An Impact
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, high‑performing systems using best practices in a microservices architecture.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code for some of Checkout’s most impactful platforms.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including product management, to solve real‑world business challenges.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and share your knowledge across the engineering community.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a curious, motivated, and innovative future engineer, either due to graduate in summer 2026 or having graduated within the last 12 months, who is excited to dive into the world of digital payments and technology. Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. .NET C#, Java, Python, or Go), with an understanding of core software engineering principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with or enthusiasm for working in agile environments and delivering high‑quality code on tight deadlines.
- A passion for solving complex technical problems—independently and as part of a team.
- Payments or financial knowledge is a bonus, but not required.
