Checkout.com is seeking a Product Manager and leader to join the Issuing Product Team in this exciting next period of the product’s growth. This role is pivotal in helping shape the future of Controls and Fraud Tooling across the Product. The successful candidate will provide cross-functional leadership across product, engineering, and business teams, to enable our merchants to create and launch innovative card programmes that are tailored to their needs. They will establish a robust foundation and drive the adoption of the next generation of fraud tooling within the issuing product and set the long-term strategic direction of the Issuing Products Fraud and Control Suite as we support new use cases.
Daily tasks include understanding stakeholders’ pain points, driving prioritisation for product development, and developing new capabilities for our customers.
Key responsibilities:- Lead the strategic development of Issuing’s suite of card controls and fraud tooling, enabling clients to tailor their card programs to their needs.
- Drive the integration and commercialisation of our next-generation fraud product into the Issuing stack.
- Act as the domain expert for Card Controls and Fraud, shaping the product roadmap and strategy to deliver a best-in-class merchant experience.
- Build strong partnerships with business, product, and technology stakeholders: buy-in and collaboration to generate momentum for mobile products.
- Work with other product and engineering leaders to ensure alignment with cross-functional roadmaps that relate to the mobile world.
- Gain a deep understanding of Checkout.com’s customers, be they end-customers or developers, and businesses themselves.
- Build strong relationships across your network, particularly with engineering.
- Foster a team culture that upholds Checkout.com’s operating principles.
- 5-8 years of product management experience.
- Experience working in Fintech, on B2B or Platform Products - specifically with API and platform product management experience [Must Have].
- Experience in Card Issuing [strongly desired but not essential].
- You thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and enjoy taking products from 0 - 1.
- Data-driven: Skilled at leveraging data and business insights to determine strategic priorities and drive the product roadmap and execution.
- Customer-first: Think from the customer’s perspective and can balance future opportunities with immediate needs.
- End-to-end mindset: Think in a structured and diligent manner, understanding all key components necessary to drive the ongoing success of a product.
- Leadership: Excellent at collaborating with stakeholders in product, engineering, commercial, and business teams proactively, demonstrating high EQ and influencing skills.
- Effective communicator: Able to inspire others with a shared vision and simplify complex concepts for a wide range of audiences.
