What We’re Looking For

  • Strategic Growth: You own the long‑term roadmap for a portfolio of enterprise merchants, identifying opportunities to increase revenue. You create unparalleled strategic value for top‑tier enterprise clients by integrating Checkout into their core business and plan 12–18 months ahead.
  • Payment Consulting: You’re a trusted, respectful advisor to a merchant’s C‑suite. You paint compelling commercial stories, lead impactful QBRs, and translate payment performance into win‑win outcomes for both merchants and Checkout.
  • Commercial Leadership: You win complex, multi‑layered contract negotiations, renewals, and strategic deals by crafting innovative commercial models. You execute art‑of‑the‑possible deal management with Legal, Strategic Pricing, and other stakeholders while owning the final commercial outcome.
  • Value‑based Selling: You role‑model data‑driven decision‑making, diving into numbers to provide merchants with metric‑driven insights that reinforce confidence in our solutions.
  • Customer Advocacy: You are the voice of the merchant internally, partnering with Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap based on evolving merchant needs. You master internal influence and align multiple departments toward common client goals.
  • Mentoring: You lead by example and coach junior account managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the Commercial team.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in a B2B Account Management, Relationship Management, or a commercially focused role within the FinTech and/or Payments industry.
  • Strategic problem solver with strong project‑management skills.
  • In‑depth knowledge of today’s major e‑commerce and payments technologies, players, and major future trends.
  • Adaptable, multi‑tasked, and able to balance multiple opportunities under changing requirements.
  • Proven ability to perform in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating across departments and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English (UK focus).
