As a Senior Network Engineer, you will own the design, delivery and ongoing optimisation of our corporate office network infrastructure globally. You will define the standards that govern how office networks are built, ensure consistent deployment across locations, and deliver reliable, secure connectivity that supports modern workplace technologies and collaboration tools.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role. You'll be the subject matter expert who turns business requirements into reliable, secure, and scalable network solutions, from greenfield office buildouts to major refits of existing sites.

Network Design & Standards
  • Define and maintain global network architecture standards for corporate office environments, covering LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and SD-WAN, ensuring consistent and repeatable deployments across all locations.
  • Develop and maintain network build standards, configuration templates, and technical runbooks.
  • Ensure all designs meet FinTech regulatory and security requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC2).
  • Own the reference architecture and standard design patterns used for new office deployments and office expansions.
Operations, Monitoring & User Experience
  • Provide escalation support (L3/L4) for network incidents across all office locations, leading root cause analysis and driving permanent fixes.
  • Own end-to-end network observability across all office environments, including monitoring, telemetry, packet loss, bandwidth utilisation and device health.
  • Define and track network SLAs and KPIs for office environments, with regular reporting to IT leadership.
  • Champion a user-first approach to network performance, proactively identifying and resolving degradation before it generates tickets.
  • Work closely with IT Engineering and AV teams to ensure a seamless connectivity experience for meeting rooms, collaboration tools, and hybrid working.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on monitoring data, user feedback, and post-incident reviews.
Office Buildouts & Refits
  • Lead end-to-end network delivery for new office openings and major refits globally from initial scoping and design through to commissioning and handover.
  • Engage and manage third-party vendors, cabling contractors, and ISPs to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Conduct site surveys and produce detailed network designs, rack layouts, and cabling schematics.
  • Ensure all office network deployments adhere to global architecture standards and security requirements.
  • Produce high- and low-level network design documentation for office network deployments.
Stakeholder & Project Management
  • Partner with Real Estate, Workplace, GTSO Teams and senior IT leadership to plan and scope network requirements for new and changing office locations.
  • Produce clear technical documentation and present designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage project timelines, risks, and dependencies across concurrent office programmes.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, with a strong focus on corporate office environments.
  • Expertise in Cisco and/or Juniper switching and routing (BGP, OSPF, VLAN design, QoS).
  • Solid experience with enterprise Wi-Fi platforms (Cisco Meraki, Aruba, or equivalent).
  • Proven track record delivering network buildouts or major refits in a corporate or financial services environment.
  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies (Meraki, Fortinet or similar).
  • Strong understanding of network security principles: firewalls, network segmentation, 802.1X.
  • Familiarity with MPLS, VPLS, and internet circuit procurement.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and ISPs across multiple geographies.
  • Comfortable working in a regulated environment (PCI-DSS, SOC2 awareness is a plus).
Desirable
  • CCNP / CCIE (Routing & Switching).
  • Fortinet NSE 4-7 (Network Security).
  • Exposure to network automation tooling (Ansible, Python, NetBox).
  • Experience with ITSM platforms (Jira Service Management, ServiceNow or similar).
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Splunk or Datadog).
  • Familiarity with data centre networking concepts and their integration with corporate office networks.
