We’re Checkout.com. You might not know our name, but companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony do, because we’re behind many of the digital experiences you use every day. We are where the world checks out, enabling over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion global shoppers. Our platform helps the most ambitious businesses deliver effortless digital experiences, at scale.

Our Sanctions Screening team keeps our merchants and their customers safe. We run and constantly improve the real-time screening that checks payments and customers against sanctions and watchlists. We're scaling it fast as we move into new markets and payment types.

This is an associate-level role for a sharp, data-minded analyst. You'll own the day-to-day running and improvement of our screening systems, making them faster, more accurate and more resilient. Sanctions or fincrime experience is a plus, not a must. Strong analysts from adjacent payments, fintech or similar fields are welcome.

What you'll do:

  • Own the day-to-day running of our screening platform (Fircosoft Continuity), keeping it healthy and reliable.
  • Design and test rules that cut false positives and reduce manual case work.
  • Manage watchlist updates and configurations to stay ahead of regulatory change.
  • Extend screening to new payment types and build automated testing so improvements stick.

What success looks like:

  • False positives and manual workload fall measurably, without weakening detection.
  • Screening runs reliably and no longer depends on any single person.
  • New payment types and controls are supported quickly as the business grows.

What you'll bring:

  • 2–3 years' experience in an analytical or data-focused role. This is not a graduate or entry-level position.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You turn data into decisions.
  • Hands-on data skills with SQL and/or Python.
  • Experience working with rules, logic or system configuration, and testing them.
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical people.
  • Comfort in a fast-moving, high-performance and high-growth environment.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in sanctions screening, AML, fraud or transaction monitoring.
  • Experience configuring screening tools and designing screening rules.
  • Exposure to crypto or other emerging payment types.

We create the conditions for high performers to thrive, through real ownership, fewer blockers, and work that makes a difference from day one. Here, you’ll move fast, take on meaningful challenges, and be recognized for the impact you deliver. It’s a place where ambition gets met with opportunity, and where your growth is in your hands.

We understand that work is just one part of your life. Our hybrid working model offers flexibility, with three days per week in the office to support collaboration and connection.
