Checkout.com is actively looking for an enthusiastic and talented Manager, Corporate Communications to join our fast-paced Communications and Content team. This role is perfect for an experienced communications professional with 8+ years of experience who is looking to take the next step in their career. Working closely with other communications team members, you will be involved in a wide range of communications activities, including media relations, corporate communications, strategic and crisis communications, agency oversight, editorial ownership, and more.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Media relations and pitching: Strategic pitching to target media outlets, building and maintaining relationships with key journalists and influencers to secure relevant coverage.
  • Content creation: Draft high-quality written materials, including press releases, bylines, and briefing documents for spokespeople.
  • Press Office management: Support the day-to-day operations of the press office, fielding inbound inquiries, organising interviews, and ensuring timely responses to media requests.
  • Awards and recognition: Support our awards and list pitching strategy, identifying relevant industry accolades, drafting compelling submissions, and managing deadlines.
  • Analytics and reporting: Maintain our analytics and reporting programme, using data to measure success and inform future PR strategies.
  • International: Support the wider marketing team and communications strategy by providing guidance and oversight on international PR agencies and strategies.
  • AI and agentic workflows: You will have a strong handle on how to use AI and agentic workflows to maximise your output, pace, and quality.

What we're looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience in a corporate communications or public relations role, either in-house or at an agency - ideally 8+ years of experience.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to run PR strategies, craft press releases, bylines, and pitches that capture attention.
  • Proven experience in high-impact media relations, with a track record of successfully pitching stories to trade, business, or technology publications.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, specifically in handling busy press office operations and coordinating awards programmes.
  • A data-driven mindset with experience using PR analytics and reporting tools to measure campaign impact.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach with the ability to support senior team members and juggle multiple PR priorities in a fast-paced environment.
