You might not know our name, but companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony do, because we’re behind many of the digital experiences you use every day. Our platform helps the most ambitious businesses deliver effortless digital experiences, at scale. With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech - and we’re just getting started. Our mission is to enable businesses and their communities to thrive in the digital economy. Checkout.com builds payment technology that helps ambitious businesses accept payments, get paid out, and grow into new markets.

About the Role

As the BDR Academy Lead, you will own the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Checkout.com’s global Revenue Academy. You will turn commercial priorities into a structured, measurable development journey that helps Business Development Representatives (BDRs) build deep product knowledge, master prospecting skills, and apply our proprietary Sales Methodology. Your work will directly impact quality pipeline creation and prepare BDRs to progress into future commercial roles.

The Academy provides a consistent global foundation, tailored to two distinct sales motions:

  • Own the BDR Academy End-to-End: Partner with BDR and Commercial leadership to establish the Academy’s operating model, annual roadmap, governance, and continuous improvement cycle. Manage the complete learner journey from onboarding to graduation, including cohort planning, communications, milestones, and learner support. Translate field needs into clear learning outcomes, facilitator guides, practical exercises, and reusable assets. Coordinate cohort intake and operational readiness across regional BDR leaders, Sales, People, and Talent Acquisition teams. Deliver learning efficiently using a blend of e-learning, virtual sessions, and in-person training (directly or via regional partners).
  • Drive Capability & Field Application: Facilitate engaging blended learning programs: live workshops, practice simulations, call reviews, coaching sessions, and on-the-job application. Partner with managers to connect training to live BDR workflows, reinforce positive behaviors, and identify capability gaps early. Lead evidence-based milestone reviews with managers and leaders at key stages (onboarding, probation, and progression gates). Provide transparent data to help managers make informed progression decisions. Prepare BDRs for future commercial roles (e.g., Sales, Account Management) while managing clear performance-based expectations.
  • Measure Impact & Collaborate Globally: Track and maintain an Academy Scorecard covering metrics such as onboarding speed, certification rates, pipeline contribution quality, and learner/manager feedback. Analyze cohort performance by region and stage to resolve bottlenecks and optimize delivery. Collaborate with regional teams to ensure local market relevance without compromising global standards. Coaching and training directly translate into improved live prospecting and pipeline generation. Executive leadership receives clear, data-backed insights on cohort health, capability growth, and revenue contribution. Scalable Operations: The Academy scales seamlessly across global regions without losing quality or accountability.

What You Bring

Strong expertise in adult learning principles, workshop facilitation, and turning strategic concepts into practical, engaging training. Confidence collaborating with, influencing, and guiding frontline managers and senior commercial leaders.
  • Analytical & Operational Skills: Data-driven mindset with experience using performance metrics and feedback to evaluate programs and drive continuous improvement.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have):

  • Experience in payments, fintech, SaaS, or complex B2B technology sectors. Familiarity with Salesforce, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and sales engagement tools.
