Company Description
We’re Checkout.com. You might not know our name, but companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony do, because we’re behind many of the digital experiences you use every day. We are where the world checks out, enabling over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion global shoppers. Our platform helps the most ambitious businesses deliver effortless digital experiences, at scale. Our mission is to enable businesses and their communities to thrive in the digital economy. Checkout.com builds payment technology that helps ambitious businesses accept payments, get paid out, and grow into new markets.

About the Role
As the BDR Academy Lead, you will own the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Checkout.com’s global Revenue Academy. You will turn commercial priorities into a structured, measurable development journey that helps Business Development Representatives (BDRs) build deep product knowledge, master prospecting skills, and apply our proprietary Sales Methodology. Your work will directly impact quality pipeline creation and prepare BDRs to progress into future commercial roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the BDR Academy End-to-End
Partner with BDR and Commercial leadership to establish the Academy’s operating model, annual roadmap, governance, and continuous improvement cycle. Manage the complete learner journey from onboarding to graduation, including cohort planning, communications, milestones, and learner support. Build and maintain a unified global curriculum with clear applications for Mid-Tier and Enterprise motions, balancing global consistency with necessary regional adaptations.
  • Drive Capability & Field Application
Facilitate engaging blended learning programs: live workshops, practice simulations, call reviews, coaching sessions, and on-the-job application. Earn internal "Train-the-Trainer" certification for the Checkout.com proprietary Sales Methodology.
  • Maintain Standards, Certification & Progression
Define competency standards, rubric-based assessments, and clear certification requirements for the BDR pathway. Track completion rates, assessment results, and revenue impact; provide transparent data to help managers make informed progression decisions.
  • Measure Impact & Collaborate Globally
Track and maintain an Academy Scorecard covering metrics such as onboarding speed, certification rates, pipeline contribution quality, and learner/manager feedback. Analyze cohort performance by region and stage to resolve bottlenecks and optimize delivery.

What Success Looks Like
Clear Pathways: BDRs follow a structured, tailored learning journey appropriate for their target market motion (Mid-Tier or Enterprise). Actionable Learning: Coaching and training directly translate into improved live prospecting and pipeline generation. Transparent Growth: Progression decisions are timely, objective, and grounded in clear competency evidence.

What You Bring

  • Essential Experience & Qualifications
Commercial & Enablement Background: Direct experience in BDR/SDR roles, BDR leadership, Revenue/Sales Enablement, or sales performance program management. Program Architecture: Proven track record of designing, running, or scaling structured sales onboarding or development programs with clear milestones.
  • Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
Experience in payments, fintech, SaaS, or complex B2B technology sectors. Familiarity with Salesforce, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and sales engagement tools.

Additional Information
We create the conditions for high performers to thrive, through real ownership, fewer blockers, and work that makes a difference from day one.
